Call for Applications: Technical Assistant and Student Assistants

The UP Center for Ethnomusicology, University of the Philippines Diliman, is looking for a full-time Technical Assistant and two Student Assistants.


  • At least 18 years old and 2nd year college
  • Preferably single
  • Can follow instructions and is able to work with minimal supervision
  • Can comfortably handle clerical work (i.e., answer phones, fill-up forms, file documents, etc.)
  • Must have basic knowledge in MS Word and MS Excel
  • Must have a TIN #


  • Must have basic knowledge in spreadsheet processing
  • Willing to be trained in metadata description
  • Must have taken one or more of the following subjects: a) MuL 10 & 11 (for students enrolled in the UP College of Music); or, b) MuL 9, MuL 13, or any subjects related to Philippine Music and Culture (for non-Music students)
  • No 5 or Inc in the last semester
  • Applicants who are students of Music, Anthropology, Art Studies, Philippine Studies, or Asian Studies will be considered favourably.


  • Must have basic knowledge on word and spreadsheet processing
  • Must be enrolled in the UP School of Library and Information Studies
  • No 5 or Inc in the last semester
  • Applicants who have taken LIS 62 and LIS 64 will be considered favourably
Applicants must submit the following by July 15, 2015 August 21, 2015:
  • An up-to-date curriculum vitae with photo, including at least two (2) references;
